Position Summary:
The Industry Marketing Manager (Government) is responsible for creating content and strategy as well as developing, executing and evaluating integrated sales and marketing programs that drive pipeline growth/revenue for the federal sales team. Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to define the right mix of marketing strategies and execute tactics needed to move prospects and customers through the sales cycle. Work closely with product owners and sales to ensure efforts support focus areas and meet needs.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with product management and content experts to develop messaging and content and incorporate into lead generation strategy. Materials may include white papers, presentations, online or live seminars, direct mail, tradeshow material, etc.
• Create and execute marketing programs to drive sales activity and revenue; choosing the right mix of activities to bring leads in and to support closing the existing pipeline
• Manage outside vendors by providing content direction and overseeing development of direct response projects and marketing events
• Seek out media placements (both advertising and editorial), speaking and exhibiting opportunities and collaborate with and coach content experts speaking at online or in-person events
• Communicate with sales management and account executives to set goals and gain buy-in
• Manage a budget and track marketing program ROI

Travel Responsibilities:
• Travel required-up to 10%

Skills and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years in B2B marketing experience
• Proven ability to plan and lead marketing projects from concept through implementation and measurement
• Experience creating compelling content that drives lead generation
• Proven results in managing successful demand-creation programs, including sponsorships and events
• Proven project management experience working with multiple deadlines and working within budget
• Knowledge of enterprise software products and government applications a plus
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
