Based at our corporate location in Freeport, Maine, our Sr. Merchandisers/Buyers are responsible for the development and execution of the assortment plans as well as specific categories for both softgoods and hardgoods. Additional responsibilities include cross-functional tasks associated with forecasting and visual presentation to meet both brand and financial goals for the assigned area. Other responsibilities will include:
· Developing the most compelling, competitive assortment for each store for each floor set/season.
· Assuming responsibility for top line sales and bottom line margin.
· Creating merchandising vision for each floor set/season to turn over to the Visual team.
· Participating in strategic planning for assigned areas.
· Taking a lead role with other Merchandisers in teaching, training, and coaching on job-related skills.
The successful candidate possesses 5+ years’ retail merchandising experience and holds a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Strong financial management acumen, inventory management experience and product development expertise are also necessary.
